Digipak CD Cover Inspiration: "Igor" by Tyler, The Creator

 

    Now for the Digipak CD, more specifically the cover, I wanted to dedicate this post to explain the inspiration for its design. Once again, another creation by Tyler The Creator is inspiring my work. Before I begin, I'd like to remind how my style can be very minimalistic as it the core for the design of my album cover.

    When creating the album cover I initially to have it be a copyright free image of a nice car in the dessert since I thought that looked cool, but after getting lost and researching album covers, I resurfaced upon this album cover which I have seen before and figured it served well as an inspiration for mine.

    Now when it comes to inspiration, I wasn't planning on using a pink background or a graphic of a man in front of it but the overall ideas. I took away the idea of using a solid color background with some slight texture to not make it look too smooth and the idea of using a cut graphic in the front of it. In my case, instead of a man, I was thinking of using a cutout of a car.
